The River Walk
We walked to the river last week and took some pictures along the way.
Beavers are working - many mushrooms - and the river is up...always changing.
Enjoy these pictures - we enjoyed the walk.

You Make the Memories
We Make the Bed..
We Make the Breakfast..
You Make the Memories!
We Make the Bed:
Using pressed, high quality bed linens we make the bed using the triple sheet method triple sheet a bed. That is, first laying down the fitted sheet on top of the padding, we then put the first flat sheet on the bed, followed by an appropriate blanket. Then another pressed flat sheet is placed over the blanket and the first flat sheet is folded over the last flat sheet, in sort of an envelope style.
Oh, so comfortable!
We Make the Breakfast:
Your morning begins with coffee / tea that is placed in the dining room at 6:00 a.m., along with muffins, or other breads. At 8:30, we serve you a sit-down breakfast at the oak dining table.
This breakfast usually includes yogurt with granola, juice, water, a egg or waffle dish, bacon, sausage and fruit, along with your hot beverage.
Breakfast is a pleasant, unhurried time to talk with other guests, visit with friends who have come with your group, or just visit with us.
You Make the Memories:
Arrow Rock and the Down Over Bed and Breakfast have been making memories for folks for many years. Those who have been here before enjoy revisiting their favorite spots - such as the "Big Spring". First timers will want to find their own favorite spots - the Big Spring, triple arch bridge, shelter house, walk to the river, circle at the park, the shaded picnic area, or....
You will have your memories of the plays you have seen at the Lyceum www.lyceumtheatre.org .
Some families have brought their grandchildren to the Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre and Down Over Bed and Breakfast through the years.
Others have come to the Down Over Bed and Breakfast with friends or family just for a traditional "get-away in Arrow Rock"
Making memories at the Down Over Bed and Breakfast is definitely a tradition for many visitors.

Travelers Say What They Need
While we stay inside to enjoy this winter weather, this article from the newspaper caught my eye:
"How do people choose their hotels? Andrea Sachs of The Washington Post says the three chief criteria are (1) location, (2) price and (3) whether the hotel has a gym. More and more, travelers are demanding to work out during the course of their stay".
The Down Over Bed and Breakfast in Arrow Rock certainly fits that criteria!
(1) Location - 603 Main Street, with an easy walk to the Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre www.lyceumtheatre.org, shopping www.arrowrock.org or Arrow Rock State Park http://www.mostateparks.com/arrowrock.htm
(2) Price - the amenities at the Down Over Bed and Breakfast include private baths, full sit-down breakfast, pressed, high quality linens, bottomless cookie jar.
(3) Exercise - Arrow Rock is a wonderful place for that morning or evening walk/run. Walking to the river is one of my favorites. The adjacent Arrow Rock State Park has many walking paths.
When you visit Arrow Rock, choose the Down Over Bed and Breakfast! We love to share the village with visitors.
